Alpha Xi Delta’s Founders selected our Quill badge to symbolize their belief in “a broad and purposeful education.” The objective of Alpha Xi Delta’s Academic Achievement Program is to enable each chapter to encourage and aid chapter members in achieving academic success and to assist members in realizing their scholastic and personal potential. The Fraternity provides a model program to our college chapters and works closely with chapter officers to develop a program to meet the chapter’s particular needs. The Territory Academic Director works with our chapters to assemble the right combination of study hours and aids, academic incentives, tutoring, and the proper use of campus academic resources. Alpha Xi Delta’s expectation is that all of her chapters maintain a cumulative chapter GPA that is above the all-Panhellenic GPA.
At times, a member may require additional academic assistance. Members who fall below a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale at the end of a term are placed on academic probation. The member will then work with the chapter’s academic advisor to develop a plan that will enable her to take advantage of both campus and Alpha Xi Delta resources to improve her academic standing.
In support of our members’ academic goals, the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation offers more than $125,000 biennially in scholarships and grants to collegiate and alumnae members to assist them in completing undergraduate studies or to further their education.
